ALBERT E. WARGO, CEO AND CHAIRMAN
Al Wargo brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in both commercial and defense industries. Most recently Al was the CEO of Inplane Photonics, a startup company providing broadband, optical communication ICs for telecom and defense applications that was successfully sold to a private equity group. Previously, as VP of Product Management, Marketing and Strategy for JDS Uniphase, Al brought inspired leadership to the optical networking division, making it the company’s fastest growing and largest business segment ($250M). He was also CEO of the Microelectronics and Computer Technology Corporation (MCC), creating revolutionary technology and spinoff opportunities to consortium companies. In the defense industry, Al led significant business growth (>$200M) within the Government Communications Group of the Harris Corporation as Director of Business Development and Director of Advanced Programs. Al has a BSEE from the University of Pittsburgh and an Executive MBA from the University of Florida.
ROBERT G. ANDERSON, JR., CPA, CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
Bob Anderson, a CPA with over 30 years of management experience in operations as it relates to company administration, is the CFO and Secretary of Zebra Imaging, Inc. Bob’s experience includes accounting and finance, risk management, asset management, systems administration, human resources, corporate governance and legal. He is most experienced with startup companies and companies in turnaround situations. For five years Bob was CFO and VP Finance for Globeset, Inc., a startup software company developing secure transaction software for Internet payments. For the eight years prior to his tenure at Globeset he was COO and CFO for American Student Travel in Houston, Texas. Bob has also been the principal in several of his own businesses including his own CPA practice. His initial training was with Arthur Andersen & Co. Bob has an MBA in finance and accounting from Columbia University and two undergraduate degrees from Rice University.
MICHAEL A. KLUG, CHIEF TECHNOLOGY OFFICER, CO-FOUNDER
Michael Klug received a Bachelor of Science degree from MIT in 1989 and a Master of Science degree from the Spatial Imaging Group at the MIT Media Lab in 1991. From 1991 until 1997, Michael worked as a Research Scientist at the MIT Media Laboratory, focusing on design and development of 3D displays and holographic systems. During his tenure at MIT, he was responsible for basic technology development, prototype construction and demonstration, proposal generation and program budgeting and renewal, sponsor recruitment, coordination, presentations and demonstrations, and laboratory resource management and establishment of group research goals. He developed the basic technological predecessors of the systems now productized by Zebra Imaging and has served as a consultant to various companies, such as Polaroid Corporation, in related fields. He is recognized internationally as one of a handful of experts in the field of automated hologram printing technology. At Zebra Imaging, Michael is responsible for overall technology strategy, intellectual property development and management, and integration of R&D, business development, market research, and technology and product trajectories.
BRIAN G. HILL, VICE PRESIDENT, GM OF ZPRINTS DIVISION
Brian Hill has over 28 years of experience in design, manufacturing and support of a wide variety of large high-tech capital equipment. Prior to joining Zebra, Brian was Vice President of Engineering for Latran Technologies, a manufacturer of high precision, large format laser imaging systems used in the commercial print industry. With a career dedicated almost exclusively to electro/mechanical laser imaging systems used in a variety of markets including print, computer graphics and medical imaging, he has gained valuable experience in working with such companies as Polaroid, Agfa-Gevaert and Matrix Instruments in various senior management roles including engineering, technical sales, manufacturing and support services. Brian received his Engineering degree from the University of Dayton and advanced degrees in Business and Finance from Long Island University.
