Zebra Imaging produces it’s own holographic images on machines called Imagers. Some customers prefer to have one of Zebra’s Imagers installed at their facility where holographic images can be produced quickly and in high volume directly from CAD data, GIS data or any other popular 3D source. By owning an Imager, organizations will be able to view their data whenever needed.
|
Zebra Imaging has an integrated 3D stylus that allows the viewer to "touch" the holographic images, measure virtual objects within the holographic image, and interact with the computer data. Using a pen-like stylus with force feedback, the user has the illusion of touching objects and surfaces. A mouse-like clicker enables the position of the stylus tip in the holographic image allowing the user to input and query positions within the database to take measurements, plot paths, or access relevant meta-data.
For example, a military planner might use a Zebra Imaging Holo-touch Workstation to determine size and distances in a battlefield area from data acquired from an aircraft reconnaissance mission.

Zebra Holo-touch Workstation’s Pen-like stylus allows you to interact with the holographic computer data.

The interactive Holo-touch Workstation could also be used to better understand and test urban environmental options, including lines of sight, choke points, and deployment scenarios. In addition, the workstation can be used for surgical training, simulating procedures with a holographic image prior to the actual procedure.
This system can be enhanced for CAD applications as well to “feel” gaps and CAD errors in a 3D holographic clay.
