As high tech as our holographic images are to make, they are low tech to use-–easily illuminated with only a single point light source. A single 65 watt halogen bulb will illuminate a holographic image. Zebra illuminates multi-tile holographic images with a 750 watt Source 4 or a 575 watt Source 4 Jr. Light which can be mounted on the ceiling or used with a Zebra Imaging display system. There are other lighting options as well.
Zebra Imaging produces digital holographic images with two different viewing formats: a vertical display format and a horizontal display format. Vertical display holographic images are designed to be mounted on the wall and are illuminated at a 45 degree angle. Horizontal display holographic images are designed to be viewed on a flat surface parallel with the floor, such as a table. They are illuminated by a light or a projector at a 90 degree angle.
Display System
Vertical display holographic images can be viewed using a display system similar to an easel with a 65 watt halogen light extending off the top of the stand. This stand can also illuminate horizontal holographic images by simply adjusting the direction of the light and the placement of the holographic image. These durable stands can fold for easy.
Zebra also offers display systems for vertical display holographic images that can be hung on the wall. A bracket is attached to the holographic image frame that holds a slender rod with a light attached to the end. This system can illuminate a hologram up to 2’ x 2’.
Zebra Imaging has also created a system for horizontal display holographic images. With this display system, horizontal holographic images 2’x3’ or smaller lay on a turntable with a light source illuminating the image from the top of the stand. The turntable can then be rotated 360 degrees to allow viewers to see all angles of the holographic image. Like all of Zebra Imaging’s display systems, the horizontal display quickly folds up to fit into a carrying case for easy storage or transportation.
Several of Zebra’s display systems have the ability to hold a standard LCD projector that allows 2D computer animation and movie files to be projected directly onto the holographic image. Zebra Imaging customers have used this system to overlay traffic patterns and sensitive military mission plans on holographic maps.
Zebra also offers a lighting consultation service to help ensure your holographic image is properly illuminated.
